RIO DE JANEIRO, April 11 (UPI) -- Special forces of the Colombian Army's Air Assault Division are receiving two additional S-70i Black Hawk helicopters from Sikorsky Aircraft.

The contract was announced at the LAAD Defence & Security International Exhibition in Brazil.

The S-70i is the export version of the UH-60 Black Hawk. Colombia has the world's fourth largest fleet of Black Hawks and in January received five of the aircraft specifically for its Special Forces.

"We thank the Colombian Armed Forces for their continued confidence in Sikorsky and the S-70i variant of the Black Hawk helicopter," said Jennifer Caruso, Sikorsky vice president of Army and Air Force Programs. "We are pleased once again to be able to respond quickly to the request for new aircraft."

The two helicopters feature a dual GPS/INS system and digital map for navigation and will be custom-equipped with a rescue hoist and an Integrated Vehicle Health Management System for monitoring engines, transmission and rotors.

The Black Hawks are expected to be delivered by October.
